According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, in November 2025, China’s molybdenum product imports totaled 8,001.90 tonnes, decreased by 15.76% month-on-month and decreased by 18.02% year-on-year; import value amounted to RMB 1.454 billion, decreased by 18.25% month-on-month and increased by 0.43% year-on-year.

Of which, in November China imported 1,372.09 tonnes of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 312.04% year-on-year; 5,572.14 tonnes of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 31.50% year-on-year; 159.97 tonnes of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increased by 87.11% year-on-year; 120.06 tonnes of ammonium molybdate, increased by 7.67% year-on-year; 6.03 tonnes of other molybdates, decreased by 91.81% year-on-year; 740.50 tonnes of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 25.95% year-on-year; 118.00 kg of molybdenum powder, decreased by 46.85% year-on-year; 2,353.00 tonnes of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply obtained by sintering); 23.75 tonnes of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and shapes, plates, sheets, strips and foil, increased by 40.25% year-on-year; 3.06 tonnes of molybdenum wire, decreased by 23.55% year-on-year; and 1.83 tonnes of other molybdenum products, increased by 72.59% year-on-year.
In November 2025, China’s molybdenum product exports totaled 2,043.62 tonnes, decreased by 11.34% month-on-month and decreased by 57.16% year-on-year; export value amounted to RMB 553 million, decreased by 12.61% month-on-month and decreased by 44.88% year-on-year.

Of which, in November China exported 749.87 tonnes of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 32.53% year-on-year; 217.77 tonnes of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 86.83% year-on-year; 59.46 tonnes of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 68.59% year-on-year; 4.64 tonnes of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 90.29% year-on-year; 30.61 tonnes of other molybdates, decreased by 42.05% year-on-year; 687.00 tonnes of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 44.93% year-on-year; 107.56 tonnes of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply obtained by sintering), decreased by 30.35% year-on-year; 25.37 tonnes of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and shapes, plates, sheets, strips and foil, decreased by 64.66% year-on-year; 18.07 tonnes of molybdenum wire, decreased by 29.32% year-on-year; 88.59 tonnes of molybdenum waste and scrap, decreased by 47.02% year-on-year; and 54.69 tonnes of other molybdenum products, increased by 145.65% year-on-year.
