According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, from January to September 2025, China's cumulative molybdenum product imports totaled 64,159.32 tons, increased by 17.86% year-on-year; the cumulative import value was RMB 9.838 billion, increased by 27.78% year-on-year.
Among these, from January to September, China's imports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 10,472.35 tons, increased by 99.96% year-on-year; other molybdenum ore and concentrates were 45,060.11 tons, increased by 13.38% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 1,481.19 tons, decreased by 0.64% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 1,517.57 tons, increased by 98.30% year-on-year; other molybdates were 730.08 tons, decreased by 24.17% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 4,658.85 tons, decreased by 22.04% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 3.53 tons, decreased by 8.81% year-on-year; unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, was 14.69 tons, increased by 209,800.00% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foil were 169.44 tons, decreased by 21.34% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 34.61 tons, increased by 17.78% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 16.91 tons, increased by 10.32% year-on-year.
From January to September 2025, China's cumulative molybdenum product exports totaled 25,839.08 tons, decreased by 15.70% year-on-year; the cumulative export value was RMB 5.745 billion, decreased by 16.50% year-on-year.
Among these, from January to September, China's exports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 9,782.83 tons, decreased by 4.01% year-on-year; other molybdenum ore and concentrates were 5,955.63 tons, decreased by 12.62% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 1,469.87 tons, decreased by 34.33% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 222.14 tons, decreased by 42.98% year-on-year; other molybdates were 233.54 tons, decreased by 13.85% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 4,359.90 tons, decreased by 23.29% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 77.89 tons, decreased by 62.50% year-on-year; unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, was 1,504.33 tons, decreased by 26.17% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foil were 400.23 tons, decreased by 40.04% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 237.22 tons, increased by 7.64% year-on-year; molybdenum scrap and clippings were 1,337.11 tons, decreased by 23.06% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 258.39 tons, increased by 37.02% year-on-year.
