According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, in September 2025, China's molybdenum product imports totaled 10,288.20 tons, increased by 67.60% month-on-month, but decreased by 1.60% year-on-year; the import value was RMB 1.879 billion, increased by 85.97% month-on-month, and increased by 16.35% year-on-year.
Among these, in September, China's imports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 2,963.00 tons, increased by 75.83% year-on-year; other molybdenum ore and concentrates were 6,117.97 tons, decreased by 14.90% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 149.76 tons, increased by 30.70% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 160.00 tons, decreased by 31.62% year-on-year; other molybdates were 43.46 tons, decreased by 70.33% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 824.50 tons, decreased by 22.36% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 500.00 kilograms, decreased by 15.82% year-on-year; unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, was 1,157.00 kilograms, increased by 100.00% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foil were 23.77 tons, increased by 42.93% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 2.99 tons, decreased by 45.69% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 1.11 tons, decreased by 1.43% year-on-year.
In September 2025, China's molybdenum product exports totaled 2,312.18 tons, increased by 0.32% month-on-month, but decreased by 26.81% year-on-year; the export value was RMB 661 million, increased by 0.37% month-on-month, and decreased by 15.25% year-on-year.
Among these, in September, China's exports of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates were 628.28 tons, decreased by 9.36% year-on-year; other molybdenum ore and concentrates were 471.81 tons, decreased by 54.13% year-on-year; molybdenum oxides and hydroxides were 108.14 tons, decreased by 64.98% year-on-year; ammonium molybdate was 8.80 tons, decreased by 83.26% year-on-year; other molybdates were 7.36 tons, decreased by 71.54% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum was 758.95 tons, increased by 14.82% year-on-year; molybdenum powder was 1.00 ton, decreased by 92.58% year-on-year; unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, was 143.15 tons, increased by 3.61% year-on-year; molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foil were 12.02 tons, decreased by 87.09% year-on-year; molybdenum wire was 26.96 tons, increased by 31.61% year-on-year; molybdenum scrap and clippings were 94.50 tons, decreased by 11.19% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products were 51.23 tons, increased by 188.62% year-on-year.
