Rare earth market update on September 11, 2025
The overall focus of domestic rare earth prices continues to shift downward, with praseodymium-neodymium oxide prices decreasing by approximately 3,000 yuan per ton, praseodymium-neodymium metal prices decreasing by approximately 20,000 yuan per ton, and holmium oxide prices decreasing by approximately 10,000 yuan per ton. This round of price decline is mainly influenced by weakening downstream demand and significant prior price increases. However, due to strong production cost support, combined with the current traditional consumption peak season and robust growth in emerging industries, suppliers have limited room to offer price reductions. Notably, influenced by the recent continuous decline in praseodymium-neodymium raw material prices, the price of neodymium-iron-boron blanks has also dropped, with the price of 52M neodymium-iron-boron blank blocks decreasing by approximately 1 yuan per kilogram.
In terms of news, according to the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission website, in August 2025, the average sales prices of high-yttrium oxide (rare earth) and medium-yttrium europium oxide (rare earth) in Ganzhou were 205,000 yuan per ton and 188,000 yuan per ton, respectively, decreasing by 4.21% and slightly decreasing by 1.05% month-on-month, respectively, and increasing by 6.77% and 15.34% year-on-year, respectively; during the same period, the average sales price of tungsten concentrate in Ganzhou was 194,000 yuan per ton, increased by 11.49% month-on-month and increased by 44.78% year-on-year.
