Rare earth market update on August 11, 2025
At the beginning of the week, the domestic rare earth market maintained a sideways trend. With downstream users primarily sustaining rigid demand, strong production cost support, and gradually weakening bullish market factors, supplier quotes have generally become more rational, and market order growth remains slow. Today, the prices of praseodymium oxide, erbium oxide, and dysprosium-iron alloy are approximately 541,000 yuan per ton, 325,000 yuan per ton, and 1,580,000 yuan per ton, respectively.
In terms of news, customs data shows that from January to July 2025, the national rare earth export volume was 38,563.6 tons, increased by 13.3% year-on-year, with an export value of 227.7 million USD, decreased by 24.2% year-on-year; rare earth import volume was 67,013.4 tons, decreased by 16.8% year-on-year, with an import value of 1,003.3 million USD, increased by 4.1% year-on-year. In July, the national rare earth export volume was 5,994.3 tons, with an export value of 36.4 million USD; rare earth import volume was 9,622.7 tons, with an import value of 119.8 million USD.
