Rare earth market update on July 28, 2025
At the beginning of the week, the overall domestic rare earth market sentiment was moderate, with mainstream product prices largely stabilizing within a reasonable range due to low downstream user inquiry and procurement enthusiasm, limited supplier price concessions, and a lack of new orders. Today, the prices of praseodymium oxide, praseodymium-neodymium metal, and dysprosium oxide are approximately 535,000 yuan per ton, 630,000 yuan per ton, and 1,660,000 yuan per ton, respectively. Industry players expect the rare earth market to maintain a sideways trend in the short term. According to CTIA GROUP LTD, influenced by frequent high-temperature and rainy weather as well as stricter environmental policies, the output of some rare earth manufacturers has decreased. Additionally, with strong production cost support, holders are less willing to lower prices.
In terms of news, on July 23, 2025, Guangsheng Colorful (Guangsheng Youse) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangdong Guangsheng Colorful Import and Export Co., Ltd., plans to publicly list for sale its 3% equity stake in Guangdong Zhujiang Rare Earth Co., Ltd., with a minimum listing price of 5.9764 million yuan. This transaction will be conducted through a public listing on a property exchange to dispose of the 3% stake in Zhujiang Rare Earth, and its success remains uncertain. Upon completion, the import-export company will no longer hold any equity in Zhujiang Rare Earth.
