Rare earth market update on July 25, 2025
This week, the price trends for domestic light and heavy rare earths showed clear differences: mainstream light rare earth product prices fluctuated upward, with the price increase widening toward the weekend; heavy rare earth prices remained in a state of slight decline, though the downward adjustment narrowed toward the weekend. According to CTIA GROUP LTD, the primary reasons for the significant rise in praseodymium-neodymium prices this week include: firstly, active online trading of China Northern Rare Earth’s praseodymium-neodymium metal, with actual transaction prices at a relatively good level; secondly, the current period coincides with the peak consumption season for rare earth permanent magnet materials, where demand is already high, and the price increase has further stimulated procurement inquiries from downstream markets, leading to a rise in inquiry volumes.
According to CTIA GROUP LTD, this week, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide increased by approximately 55,000 yuan per ton, a rise of 11.46%; the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal increased by approximately 55,000 yuan per ton, a rise of 9.40%; the price of terbium oxide decreased by approximately 150 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 2.08%; the price of dysprosium oxide decreased by approximately 40,000 yuan per ton, a decline of 2.36%; the price of 55N neodymium-iron-boron blanks increased by approximately 11 yuan per kilogram, a rise of 4.98%; and the price of neodymium-iron-boron scrap (praseodymium-neodymium) increased by approximately 50 yuan per kilogram, a rise of 9.58%. This indicates that praseodymium-neodymium prices rose significantly this week, and under this backdrop, prices of rare earth permanent magnet materials and their scrap also increased; meanwhile, dysprosium-terbium prices trended weakly.

The core content of the plan includes the collection background, objectives, scope, and technical approach. The plan focuses on Inner Mongolia’s advantageous minerals such as coal, rare earths, and iron ore, aiming to systematically collect representative rock (ore) specimens to enhance the museum’s collection system, providing solid support for exhibitions, science education, and geological research.
