According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, the import and export details of China's molybdenum products for June 2025 are as follows: In June 2025, China’s molybdenum product imports totaled 6,480.06 tons, an increase of 30.06% month-on-month and 42.87% year-on-year; the import value was 945 million yuan, an increase of 30.26% month-on-month and 52.84% year-on-year.
Among these, in June 2025, China imported 876.00 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, an increase of 447.50% year-on-year; 4,721.68 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, an increase of 26.81% year-on-year; 380.31 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, an increase of 36.61% year-on-year; 327.00 tons of ammonium molybdate, an increase of 1,943.12% year-on-year; 141.36 tons of other molybdates, an increase of 595.99% year-on-year; 1 kilogram of ferromolybdenum, a decrease of approximately 100.00% year-on-year; 250.00 kilograms of molybdenum powder, a decrease of approximately 41.59% year-on-year; 3,001.00 kilograms of unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, an increase of 300,000.00% year-on-year; 22.30 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, foils, and special shapes, a decrease of 13.40% year-on-year; 6.88 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 59.03% year-on-year; and 1.29 tons of other molybdenum products, an increase of 23.18% year-on-year.
In June 2025, China’s molybdenum product exports totaled 1,753.98 tons, a decrease of 55.66% month-on-month and 49.20% year-on-year; the export value was 422 million yuan, a decrease of 47.27% month-on-month and 45.81% year-on-year.
Among these, in June 2025, China exported 576.52 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, a decrease of 47.44% year-on-year; 408.06 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, a decrease of 49.58% year-on-year; 229.12 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, an increase of 103.17% year-on-year; 58.79 tons of ammonium molybdate, an increase of 31.30% year-on-year; 34.66 tons of other molybdates, an increase of 16.27% year-on-year; 47.00 tons of ferromolybdenum, a decrease of 93.52% year-on-year; 3.00 tons of molybdenum powder, a decrease of 86.61% year-on-year; 157.52 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, a decrease of 22.32% year-on-year; 30.93 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, foils, and special shapes, a decrease of 61.19% year-on-year; 39.91 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 73.30% year-on-year; 142.27 tons of molybdenum scrap and fragments, a decrease of 47.75% year-on-year; and 26.20 tons of other molybdenum products, a decrease of 22.53% year-on-year.
