According to data compiled by CTIA GROUP LTD from the General Administration of Customs, China's molybdenum products imports for the first quarter of 2025 are as follows:
In Q1 2025, China imported a total of 21,329.20 tons of molybdenum products, down 12.97% quarter-on-quarter but up 33.20% year-on-year. The total import value was 3,079.80 million yuan, down 13.53% quarter-on-quarter but up 39.06% year-on-year.
Roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates: 2,181.38 tons, up 79.83% quarter-on-quarter and 33.58% year-on-year; import value of 436.88 million yuan, up 70.49% quarter-on-quarter and 54.30% year-on-year.
Other molybdenum ores and concentrates: 15,719.98 tons, down 22.52% quarter-on-quarter but up 41.69% year-on-year; import value of 1,938.22 million yuan, up 26.77% quarter-on-quarter and 53.70% year-on-year.
Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides: 387.86 tons, up 25.19% quarter-on-quarter but down 44.52% year-on-year; import value of 63.87 million yuan, up 4.24% quarter-on-quarter but down 46.23% year-on-year.
Ammonium molybdate: 543.51 tons, up 55.47% quarter-on-quarter and 251.82% year-on-year; import value of 113.11 million yuan, up 56.77% quarter-on-quarter and 252.66% year-on-year.
Other molybdates: 363.25 tons, up 27.76% quarter-on-quarter and 24.05% year-on-year; import value of 24.54 million yuan, up 3.97% quarter-on-quarter but down 7.40% year-on-year.
Ferromolybdenum: 2,071.26 tons, up 4.23% quarter-on-quarter and 1.42% year-on-year; import value of 447.71 million yuan, up 2.97% quarter-on-quarter and 7.18% year-on-year.
Molybdenum powder: 987.00 kg, up 13.32% quarter-on-quarter but down 16.50% year-on-year; import value of 0.69 million yuan, up 1.09% quarter-on-quarter but down 20.72% year-on-year.
Unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods simply sintered: 540.00 kg, up 53,900.00% quarter-on-quarter and 53,900.00% year-on-year; import value of 0.37 million yuan, up 13,327.77% quarter-on-quarter and 8,497.05% year-on-year.
Molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 50.69 tons, down 13.47% quarter-on-quarter and 40.16% year-on-year; import value of 27.71 million yuan, down 17.80% quarter-on-quarter and 43.36% year-on-year.
Molybdenum wire: 3.89 tons, down 70.64% quarter-on-quarter and 13.06% year-on-year; import value of 4.30 million yuan, down 70.79% quarter-on-quarter and 15.12% year-on-year.
Other molybdenum products: 5.86 tons, up 48.18% quarter-on-quarter but down 0.80% year-on-year; import value of 22.40 million yuan, up 24.62% quarter-on-quarter and 9.41% year-on-year.
