Tungsten crucible may be manufactured by the cold isostatic pressing - sintering method with the size of 301mm×350mm.
The density and oxygen content of the samples collected from the wall and bottom of the tungsten crucible were analyzed to study the density uniformity of the tungsten crucible.
The density of the crucible is 18.22 g/cm3. And it decreased about 0.1g/cm3 after machining. The density of the tungsten crucible bottom is relatively lower. The lowest density exists in the arc corner, with 0.2g/cm3 lower than that of the preface.
The oxygen content of the place in which it has higher density is relatively lower, with the highest in the bottom arc corner.
It is suggested that the uniformity of the density of tungsten crucible can be improved by fully reducing the thick-walled area billet and promoting the sintering shrinkage of the lower tungsten crucible.
Tungsten crucible has been widely applied in sapphire crystal growth, quartz glass production, rare earth metallurgy, vacuum evaporation and other industries.
